In your hands, Lord, like clay in the hands of the potter
Recife (Brazil). On March 23, the FMA of 4 Brazilian Provinces experienced a moment of joy and praise to the Lord: seven young women from four Brazilian Provinces received the Medal of Aspirant and Postulant in the House of Formation Mary Help of Christians in Recife, Brazil
The Eucharistic celebration on the theme "In your hands, Lord, like clay in the hands of the potter!", was presided over by Fr. Nivaldo Luiz Pessinatti, SDB, and concelebrated with Fr. Clayton Coutinho.
Together with the local community and some FMA of neighboring communities, Sr. Adriana Gomes Provincial of the Province of Mary Help of Christians (BRE) and Sister Ana Teresa Pinto Provincial of Our Lady of Penha Province (BRJ) and President of the CIB participated in the ceremony.
Present were Sr. Márcia Koffermann (BPA) and Sr. Cláudia Maria Pianes Campos (BRJ).
The celebration was preceded by a triduum of preparation. The first day was animated by the Aspirants and had as its theme "God calls us to walk"; The second day was animated by the Postulants and the theme was "Stay with us, Lord"; on the third day the animation was entrusted to the Sisters, on the theme "We are clay, shaped by the love of the Creator".
After the Eucharist, there was a time of conviviality and fraternity, in a climate of simplicity and joy, as Don Bosco wanted!
Some young women shared the meaning of this step in their lives:
"To continue the journey by returning to the first love, to believe that God who called me walks with me and leads me to the discovery of true happiness. To say yes in the Postulancy is to take a step into the FMA Institute, to follow the steps of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello on the road to the Kingdom and in favor of youth ". (Postulant BRE).
The renewal of my Yes as an Aspirant was an occasion to remember with affection the experiences lived during formation, as well as to look to the future with hope, love, and enthusiasm. I experienced a very significant moment: to feel that I am in the place prepared by God. It was a privilege to renew my call and the desire to live intensely, following in the footsteps of DB and MM" (Aspirant BSP).
"Receiving the Aspirant Medal in the FMA Institute was a very special moment for me and a great emotion. I could see that I was taking another step in my path and I felt I was renewing my Yes to the call of God. In the moment in which I received the medal, I felt an inner peace that confirmed me in the certainty that I am looking for the way to which the Lord is calling me. He makes me a better and happier person every day! (Aspirant BRJ).
