From 31 March to 11 April 2017 Sr. Runita Borja, General Councilor for Youth Pastoral, visited Mary Help of Christians Vietnam Province(VTN).

In the first stage of her visit, Sr. Runita met the FMA of North Vietnam who were gathered in the community of Trai Gao for a formation meeting on the “Guidelines for the FMA Educative Mission”. She also met with all the community animators of North and Central Vietnam and those of Laos. In addition, she met the young people of the Trai Gao parish; visited and met with the university girls of the hostels in the community of Ha Noi and the community of Vinh.

In the second stage, Sr. Runita visited the communities of South Vietnam. On April 6 in the Provincial House, she met with about 200 catechists coming from the various FMA communities. She spoke to them of the four characteristics of a catechist: “called by God; lives closer to God; collaborates together with the ecclesial community for the mission; and witnesses with her life. It is not easy. There are difficulties to overcome. Therefore, they must draw strength from the Word of God, from the Eucharist, and from Mary.

On April 8th Sr. Runita met with almost all the FMA of South Vietnam who had gathered in the Provincial House and spoke to them on “The Guidelines for the FMA Educative Mission”. The Vietnamese Province took this occasion to celebrate the 25 years of religious profession of Sr. Runita with the Holy Mass and a festive time of songs and dances.

On April 9 and 10, Sr. Runita presented to the FMA the themes: “The Preventive System in the Asian Context and the Oratorian Heart”. In the second stage of her visit, she also met with the Province Youth Pastoral Team, with the Provincial Council, with all the community animators of South Vietnam, with the Novices and Postulants, and with the university girls of the three hostels at Saigon. The visit was a time of studying the practices of the educative mission.
